DECA is tied to Marketing. Classes include Marketing,
Retailing, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Travel and Tourism, Sports
Marketing, Real Estate, E-Commerce Marketing, etc.

Inc. Mission
The mission of DECA is to enhance the co-curricular education of
students with interests in marketing, management and entrepreneurship.
DECA helps students develop skills and competence for marketing
careers, build self-esteem, experience leadership and practice community
service.
DECA is committed to the advocacy of marketing education and the
growth of business and education partnerships.
Goals of
DECA Inc.

National Information
DECA was begun in 1946 in Virginia. Its first national conference
was held in April, 1947 in Memphis, Tennessee. Utah joined the organization
in 1948 and attended the second national conference held in April
of that year in St. Louis Missouri.
Today 170,000 marketing students, 4,500 marketing teachers, and
14,000 postsecondary Delta Epsilon Chi members enjoy the benefits
of membership in DECA, the association for students and teachers
of marketing, management and entrepreneurship
DECA's co-curricular Competitive Events Program with more than $40,000
in cash awards annually to international competitive event winners
Scholarships in excess of $250,000 annually for students and teachers
Leadership training Conferences for networking, building skills
and competing Classroom support of materials and ideas Co-op job
placements for real-world learning Corporate support and partnerships
with the more than 60 national businesses and educational institutions
on DECA's National Advisory Board.
