Registration is now open for the 4th annual Alan Hall UVU Marketing and Sales Invitational for High School Students Interested in Studying Business. 
This is a free event for your business students hosted by UVU’s Woodbury School of Business on Friday, October 10, 2025.

2025 Alan Hall UVU Marketing and Sales Invitational

  • Who: High school DECA or FBLA students, high school students taking business classes, or any high school students interested in studying business are invited. 
  • What: Marketing Case and Presentation Competition for high school students
  • When: Friday, October 10, 2025, 8:30 am-1:30 pm
  • Where: Keller Business Building at UVU in Orem
  • Why: Gain valuable marketing and presentation experience with a real-world case from our competition partners, including Crumbl, Swig, Rise Bar, Cinemark, FatCats, MarketStar, and more.  Win lots of cool prizes. Test your marketing skills against the top local high school marketing students. Learn about UVU’s marketing and other business majors and about careers in marketing. Have fun with a field day out on UVU campus with a catered lunch provided. 

You are invited to join UVU’s Marketing Department and our competition sponsors in a celebration of the study of business marketing with a day of fun marketing competitions designed for high school business students. 

We are hosting this event in our brand new state-of-the-art Keller Business Building at UVUs main Orem campus. 

The event will run on a Friday from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Doors open at 8:30 am – come early for our breakfast before it’s all gone. We will provide a catered buffet lunch on the 4th floor of our new Keller Business building from 11:00am to 1:00pm, and will end the event with the awards ceremony from 1:00 pm to 1:30pm. 

Competitions will include:

  • Marketing Strategy Case Competition (Team event) – Crumbl
  • Sales Presentation Competition (Team event) – Marketstar
  • Resume Competition (Individual event) – Swig
  • Interview Competition (Individual event) – Cinemark
  • Artwork Design Competition (Team or Individual event)
  • Product Design and Advertising Competition (Team event)
  • Social Media Competition (Team event) – Rise Bar
  • NEW – Speech Competition (Individual event)
  • Scavenger Hunt – FatCats
  • Two guest speakers from our sponsors

Please watch our event website for competition details and documents. Many of the competition documents have already been posted so you can begin preparing now.

In between competitions, the students will enjoy exploring the Keller Business Building in the form of a Scavenger Hunt,  visiting our SMARTLab, Green House, Professional Sales Program, MBA Office, Money Success Center, Academic Tutoring, WSB Writing Lab, UVU Application station, Business Impact Center, ROTC, WSB Advisors, Entrepreneurship Institute, and also enjoy various games, karaoke, treats, soda bar, froyo, photo wall, etc.

This year, due to the wonderful response we had last year, we are limiting the registrations to a max of 30 students per school and 650 students overall. So please register your teams early so you don’t miss out. We are inviting all the Utah High Schools.

Students and advisors will be required to organize their own transport to and from the UVU campus. We would require that each high school send at least one advisor, teacher, or parent chaperone who will be responsible for the students from your school. 

Competition spots will fill fast. Advisors, we are asking that you register your students online this year, rather than having them each fill out their registrations themselves separately.  Thanks so much and hope to see you soon!
