Snow DECA Day
You are invited to attend the upcoming Snow College DECA Competition on November 6, 2025, at Snow College in Ephraim!
EXCITING CHANGES
For those of you who have attended in the past, we want to make you aware of a couple of exciting changes we are making this year:
● Students who did not make finals will have the opportunity to attend a couple of workshops taught by Snow College Faculty and Staff.
● Registration fees now include lunch provided by Snow College Food Services
Students may participate in one of the following events:
INDIVIDUAL EVENTS:
● Marketing Communications (MCS)
● Retail Merchandising (RMS)
● Quick Serve Restaurant Management (QSRM)
● Apparel & Accessories (AAM)
● 10-minute prep and 10-minute presentation with no Q&A time
TEAM EVENTS (Team of 2):
● Hospitality Services Management Team (HTDM)
● Sports & Entertainment Marketing Team (SMDM)
● Business Law & Ethics Team (BLTDM)
● 20-minute prep and 10-minute presentation with no Q&A time
We will not have exam events.
Each participant may compete in one event (Individual or Team).
In the individual events, a student is given a scenario to review for 10 minutes. He/she then presents in
front of a judge for 10 minutes, giving the judge about five minutes to complete the evaluation form
before the next student arrives. If Q&A is part of the case evaluation, it will be integrated into the
conversation between the competitor and the judge.
In the team events, two students are given a scenario that they review for 20 minutes. They then
present in front of a judge for 10 minutes. The judge has about five minutes to complete the judge form
before the next students arrive. If Q&A is part of the case evaluation, it will be integrated into the
conversation between the competitor and the judge.
A $2000 Snow College scholarship will be awarded to
First-place winners in each category (team event winners will split the award at $1000 each)

● The entry fee is $20.00 for each participant
● A late fee of $5.00 per student will be assessed for late registration
● IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE RECEIVE YOUR REGISTRATION FORM & REGISTRATION FEES NO
LATER THAN MONDAY, OCTOBER 20TH. THE REGISTRATION SYSTEM WILL NOT TAKE ANY
ENTRIES AFTER SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26TH AT 5 PM (late fee assessed for registrations entered
OCTOBER 22-26).
Your timely registration and payment will allow us time to coordinate the necessary judges, as well as
adequate space to comfortably host the event.
Please arrive in Ephraim on Thursday, November 6, no later than 8:30 AM. The first competitors will
start preparing at approximately 8:40 AM. Prep and presentation times will be pre-assigned and sent
out before the conference. We hope to complete the event with an awards assembly around 3:00 p.m.
You should be on your way home by 3:30-3:45 p.m.
